Atlantic City Prepares For The Soft Opening Of Two New Casinos

Atlantic City’s gaming industry has been through a rough past over the last few years but things are slowly turning around. Atlantic City is set to welcome two new casinos this month and expect gross gaming revenues in the city to increase in the coming months.

The two new casinos that will open their doors to the public in June are the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Ocean Resort Casino.

Before the formal opening though, there will be some soft play days. This is to ensure that everything is functioning properly and that the staff gets fully trained to run day to day business operations. The soft opening will see special guests make their way to each of the new casinos to check things out.

Additionally, representatives of the New Jersey Division of Game Enforcement (NJDGE) will also pay a visit to both of the new casinos to check if all the games on the premises are working properly and fairly. They will be conducting tests and checks on all gaming sections at both facilities.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

The new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has taken the place of the former Trump Taj Mahal casino and boasts of a gaming floor covering having 167,000 square feet which will be home to 2,100 slot machines and 120 table games. The trademark giant guitars of the Hard Rock brand have been installed and the final touches are being put on the landscaping but construction work is still to be fully completed.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is expecting a huge turnout on June 28 as gamblers on the East Coast are expected to visit Atlantic City to check out the latest offerings. Not too far away from the Hard Rock, will be the Ocean Resort which is also set to open on June 28.

Ocean Resort – Atlantic City

The new Ocean Resort casino has taken the place of the troubled Revel Casino. The casino resort also has a large gaming floor covering of 130,000 square feet and will be home to over 100 table games and 2,000 slot machines. The casino resort will have as many as 13 bars and restaurants along with 6 impressive pools.

The opening of these two new casino resorts is also expected to create thousands of full time jobs in Atlantic City. To see a full list of gaming and non-gaming services for both casinos, please do visit their websites.
