Caesars announced the plan during a third-quarter earnings call this week. <\/p>\n<p>Company executives made references to the plan several times during the call, with a similar establishment also set to open in Columbus, Nebraska.<\/p>\n<h2>Danville Welcomes Opening of Caesars&#8217; Temporary Casino<\/h2>\n<p>The temporary casino in Danville will be located at Schoolfield, the same site where Caesars is currently building a $650 million casino hotel resort, which is expected to be completed in 2024.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.25%\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ve4iqIivNPk?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0?ecver=2\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;left:0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Confirming Caesars&#8217; plan to open a temporary casino at the Schoolfield site, Danville City Manager <strong>Ken Larking<\/strong> said it&#8217;s great news for the city as it would mean gaming tax revenue would come earlier than expected. <\/p>\n<p>Larking said that Caesars is required under the law to build the temporary casino at the Schoolfield site as it was the location specified in the casino referendum question that Danville voters passed back in November 2020. <\/p>\n<p>He added that Caesars is currently working with the Virginia Lottery to get started on its plan. That&#8217;s the only information available to him right now, he said.  <\/p>\n<h2>Caesars Virginia <\/h2>\n<p>Caesars&#8217; casino hotel resort in Danville, which will be named &#8220;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.caesars.com\/caesars-virginia\">Caesars Virginia<\/a><\/em>&#8220;, is projected to contribute up to $38 million in tax revenue to the city. It will also generate thousands of jobs and will transform the area into a world-class tourist destination. Caesars is building the project in partnership with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.   <\/p>\n<p>Whiting-Turner, known for its work on Horseshoe Baltimore, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Harvey&#8217;s Lake Tahoe, The LINQ Hotel + Experience Las Vegas, and many more, is the contractor picked by Caesars to construct the $650 million casino development in Danville. <\/p>\n<p>Caesars Virginia will include a 500-room hotel, a gaming floor that will house 1,400 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.top10casinowebsites.net\/slots\">slot machines<\/a> and table games, Caesars<br \/>\nSportsbook, and a World Series of Poker (WSOP) poker room with 25 tables.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the casino resort will feature a 40,000-square-foot meeting and convention area, a 2,500-seat entertainment center, as well as restaurants and bars. <\/p>\n<p>The Danville development isn\u2019t the only casino project slated to open in Virginia. Hard Rock is also building its own casino in Bristol.
