Londoner Court Should Open In Time For October 2021 Golden Week

Macau usually attracts a huge flow of visitors from Mainland China during the October Golden Week. China celebrates its National Day on October 1 and the whole of China enjoys a nice week of holidays. Millions of Chinese head across the border to the Macau peninsula to stay and play at the dozens of casinos.

The COVID-19 situation has slowed down tourism numbers in Macau but Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) expects things to pick up as we get close to Golden Week.

Sands China is pushing to get its Londoner Court up and ready for Golden Week. This is a luxury hotel and apartment complex that has over 360 rooms and service apartments. Sands China is currently carrying out a simulation exercise to prepare staff to run a seamless operation during Golden Week. The plan is to get as many VIP guests coming to the Londoner Maaco to stay at the new Londoner Court.

The Londoner Macau is a British themed casino style resort that has opened to the public stage wise. The casino floor covers a total of 350,000 square feet and its convention and meeting space covers another 150,000. The Londoner Macao is making plans to get back to business as usual as China and Macau push for full vaccination.

We will have to wait and see if residents from Hong Kong and Guangzhou are willing to take a ferry and do the one hour journey into Macau with COVID-19 still causing problems in Macau, though the vaccine rates are pleasing . The government confirmed a family of four tested positive for the delta variant in Macau during August 2021.

Sheraton Grand Macao Open From Sep 06

The Sheraton Grand Macao has served as a quarantine facility during different periods over the last 12 months. The 2,000 room hotel was turned into a quarantine facility once again on August 05 when the family tested positive for the delta variant. The MGTO has now confirmed that the Sheraton Grand Macao can stop acting as a quarantine venue from Sep 06.

Health officials will carry out a thorough disinfection of its premises before opening to the public again. Sands China will be able to take in a lot of visitors now that the Sheraton Grand Macao and the Londoner Court will be open for business. As of now, no official opening date for the Londoner Court has been confirmed.
