NGC Gives Resorts World Las Vegas Final Approval To Open Next Month

The COVID-19 pandemic put a huge dent in gaming revenues as Las Vegas casinos were forced to shut down for an extended period of time and when they did open, they were only allowed to operate at a limited casino.

Nevada lifted restrictions in May 2021 and the Vegas gaming market will get a big boost from the opening of the new Resorts World Las Vegas casino resort.

Resorts World Las Vegas which is operated by the Malaysian based Genting Group confirmed that it had received approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) to officially open its doors to the public on June 24 after getting NGCB Approval earlier this month. The approval was a formality after the gaming regulator praised Resorts World Las Vegas for developing an impressive casino resort and complying with gaming regulations.

The Genting Group pumped in over $4.3 billion into Resorts World Las Vegas which is situated at the former location of the Stardust and covers 88 acres. The Genting Group has plans to develop a second phase of the casion resort in the future as there is lots of space that is still untouched.
