FanDuel announced that, in addition to their sports betting app, they will now be expanding into the mobile casino industry in Pennsylvania.

FanDuel will now foray into slots and table games in Pennsylvania and in-state users of the Sportsbook app will now able to access the new mobile casino offerings.

FanDuel’s move into the digital casino space is called FanDuel Casino. The operator received approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s (PGCB) and is confident of making a big splash in this new market. Before its launch on Jan 24, FanDuel’s mobile casino went through a routine two-day test period to help regulators determine its usability for customers as well as its compliance to state rules.

FanDuel Casino is available on both Android and iOS mobile devices, but cannot be accessed through desktops or tablets. FanDuel Casino users are currently limited to 12 slots titles, two blackjack table games, and three roulette table games. FanDuel has confirmed that it will be expanding its offerings soon.

One of the popular slot games that you will find at the mobile casino is NetEnt’s Divine Fortune slot which has attained quite a following in Pennsylvania. Just last month, an anonymous player from the state hit a jackpot in the game worth $285,385 while playing at HollywoodCasino.com, the online gambling arm of Penn National Gaming.

FanDuel Expands in Pennsylvania

FanDuel operates under its parent company Flutter Entertainment. FanDuel also operates a mobile casino in the state of New Jersey using the more established Betfair brand owned by Flutter. FanDuel Casino is the first mobile casino under its own brand. Some observers believe that FanDuel’s success in Pennsylvania since its introduction has pushed the operator to utilize its own brand for their mobile casino.

During the launch of FanDuel Casino, the firm’s General Manager and Vice President for Casino Jesse Chemtob released a statement, stating that they will be capitalising on the massive success FanDuel Sportsbook has attained in Pennsylvania by leveraging their brand into the online gambling sphere through their casino offering. FanDuel has a strong market reputation and will look to strengthen its mobile casino offering and player database with special promotions throughout this year.

FanDuel is now one of six online casinos operating in Pennsylvania. Digital casinos were legalised in the state in July 2019, much later than online sports betting, and have struggled to keep up with their rapid growth rate.
