Fontainebleau Development is a big name in property development and is well-known for its resorts. Now it is dipping its toes into casino gaming with its newest development, Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The company plans to complete its long-time dream of setting up shop on the Las Vegas Strip and opening an impressive 67-story luxury resort and casino.

According to Fontainebleau CEO Jeffrey Soffer, the company is very happy to finally bring its brand to Las Vegas, one of the prime hospitality destinations on the planet.

Prime Location

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is currently under construction at 2777 S. Las Vegas Blvd. This is a prime piece of real estate which was acquired by the company and its partner, Koch Real Estate Investments, back in Feb 2021. Soffer said that when they inherited the property it was in mint condition. At the moment, 75 percent of the project is already done and the project is well on its way to meet its projected opening of the fourth quarter of 2023. When it opens, Fontainebleau will be the sole operator of the hotel side of things.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is going to get a lot of attention when it opens up because it is located in a great place. It is at the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, right beside the prominent Las Vegas Convention Center. If that isn’t enough, the Las Vegas Global Business District is just a stone’s throw away. The property spans 25 acres and covers around nine million square feet of prime hospitality area.

A Big Investment

Brett Mufson, president of Fontainbleau Development said that while the tourism industry in Vegas was impacted due to COVID-19, overall the tourism industry has been very resilient through these tough times although many Americans have turned to online casino offerings instead. With the opening set for the fourth quarter of 2023, Fontainebleau Las Vegas will be positioned for the resurgence of the tourism industry when it fully recovers from COVID-19.

The company believes that its investment into the Fontainebleau Las Vegas casino resort will be a big help in that recovery and have a prominent positive impact on Las Vegas for years to come.

Fontainebleau Development has retained acclaimed Las Vegas builder Richardson Construction to complete construction of the property, and the company will announce additional design and development partners in the coming months.
