  • The casino jumped 9% in earnings when compared to 2022 with $34.4m.

The Indiana Gaming Commission has released the February earning totals for casinos in the state. In total, all of the gaming venues were able to generate over $204 million during the month. At the top was Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana.

The casino has been able to maintain the top spot for 17 months running and is showing no signs of slowing down. The venue generated 17% of the monthly revenues with $34.4 million in earnings.

Solid Growth for Hard Rock

The Hard Rock Casino continues to be the go-to spot for visitors and residents in Indiana. Casino President Matt Schuffert stated that the success of the venue and other casinos in the area seem to be attributed to the weather and features.

February saw the casino earn almost 10% more than the previous year with solid growth for the venue. In speaking to the media, Schuffert said that customers have provided good comments on the venues’ all-you-can-eat crab legs and there are new high limit slots that players are enjoying. The casino has received such good feedback on the games that they are adding more in the future.

The casino expects the revenues to keep rolling in as they prepare for huge upcoming concerts. Hard Rock will welcome Pitbull in April and Diana Ross in May. Kevin Hart is scheduled to bring his comedy tour to the casino in June.

This lineup, along with others on the schedule, will help to bring in more tourists. More visitors mean more money spent on hotel stays, dining, and gaming.

Breakdown of the Hard Rock’s Earnings

Slot machines were the big earner for the casino, bringing in over $258 million for the month. That amount saw a slot win of over $25 million. Table game play was up over $47 million with baccarat helping to push the total upwards.

Table games such as blackjack and roulette at the Hard Rock generated more bets than the tables from six other casinos in the state combined. This is a major accomplishment and shows why the Hard Rock is in the number one position. The table game total for Hard Rock in February was the highest the casino has ever earned since it first opened.

In second and third place in the state is the Horseshoe Indianapolis and the Horseshoe Casino Hammond. The casinos ranked second and third with around $27 million in earnings. Even further behind is Ameristar Casino and Club Chip Casino. They generated $16.5 million and $11 million respectively.
