Mega Moolah

Microgaming’s progressive slot Mega Moolah has made yet another player a millionaire. This time, it was an anonymous player from the UK, who parlayed his €7.25 bet into €3,252,353.70 on November 8.

The lucky player hit the jackpot while playing at Genesis Casino, which offers Mega Moolah as one of Microgaming’s progressive jackpot suite of games. The lucky player will be receiving the jackpot as a lump sum, which is standard for the network’s jackpots.

Genesis Casino is a young upstart operation that has recently made waves in the online gambling industry. The online casino is licensed by both the Malta Gaming Authority as well as the UK Gambling Commission under the management of the Malta-based Genesis Global Ltd.

Microgaming COO Andrew Clucas congratulated the winner and stated that the emergence of yet another winner cemented their company’s progressive jackpot network status as a leader in the industry. The sentiment was echoed by Genesis Casino CEO Ariel Reem, who hoped that the lucky player would be the first among many seven-figure winners on their platform.

Microgaming Pays Out Millions In 2019

Microgaming may have the largest progressive jackpot network in the industry today. In its history, the company has awarded players more than €1.1 billion in jackpots.

This year, Microgaming’s tradition of producing jackpot winners has continued. There have been 10 winners in 2019 who have won a jackpot worth at least seven figures in the Microgaming network. Microgaming has paid out over €121 million in prizes though different jackpot prizes.

According to Microgaming, €50 million this year has been paid out to the winners of seven and eight-figure jackpots, such as the lucky Genesis casino player. Additionally, over 570 players have received €10,000 or more in winnings from Microgaming in 2019 by playing their slots.

Mega Moolah – Most Popular Jackpot

The Mega Moolah progressive jackpot game was launched in November 2006 and has been one of the most popular jackpot games ever since. Most of the top online casinos in the world carry the Mega Moolah game as it is one of the most played jackpot games over the last decade and is arguably the most popular jackpot game.

The Guinness Book of World Records recognised Mega Moolah in 2015 in the category “largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game” for a jackpot win by another UK player, Jon Heywood, who won €17.8 million.

The record was broken in October 2018 when an anonymous player from the Grand Mondial Casino banked a €18.9 million jackpot win after a 75 cent wager.
