Yggdrasil Gaming recently announced that it has entered into an agreement with GVC Holdings which will allow it to integrate its video slots content onto GVC’s client-facing sites in Italy which are bwin.it and Gioco Digitale.

This deal marks Yggdrasil’s entry into the Italian market and will enable the gaming company to further expand its presence across Europe. As a part of its agreement, Yggdrasil Gaming will get around 11 games certified under Italian regulations with an aim to go live in early part of the second quarter of 2017. Based out of Malta, Yggdrasil is a fast-growing online and mobile gaming solutions provider that has received multiple awards over the years. The company holds licenses in Malta, United Kingdom and Gibraltar.

The company provides content to several leading gaming sites including bet365, bwin.party, Cherry, Betsson Group, LeoVegas and Unibet. It has won multiple awards for its portfolio of innovative games such as the Innovator of the Year at the 2017 International Gaming Awards and Slot Provider of the Year at the 2016 EGR B2B Awards.

The deal with Yggdrasil will allow bwin.it to launch titles such as Vikings Go Wild, Dark Joker Rizes and Nirvana. As a result of the partnership, GVC’s Italian sites will also be able to have access Yggdrasil’s suites of in-game promotional features like BOOST and social sharing tool BRAG.

In a statement, Liron Snir, Chief Product Officer at GVC Holdings said

Yggdrasil titles have taken the market by storm and it is a great step for us to be able integrate this first-rate content into our Italian offer. What’s more, their in-game promotional tools are genuinely innovative, particularly the BRAG feature which was a real draw for us.

Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, stated the partnership with GVC was the latest in a string of recent deals which was helping it to expand across the European market. He said that the company was thrilled to join hands with such a large operator as GVC and enter the Italian market.

Elmqvist also pointed out that the deal demonstrated the progress made by the company in developing innovative offerings across games and in-game promotional tools. The slots provided by Yggdrasil are integrated through its iSENSE 2.0 HTML5 framework that has the unique ability to handle simultaneous launches on both desktops and mobiles.
