The newest luxury hotel in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip that features a casino, fine dining, spa facilities, and nightlife, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, has announced the appointment of four new key executives.

The execs will join the security and marketing divisions

As explained by the resort’s president, Maurice Wooden, “leveraging diverse skill sets, placing key executives in pivotal roles, and elevating internal talent are paramount” in the strive to generate unparalleled guest experiences.

Three In-House Promotions

The appointments also include three in-house promotions in the persons of Kimberly Virtuoso, Lori Kobashigawa and Sheila Tuzon.

Kimberly Virtuoso has been elevated to the position of senior chief people officer from the role of vice president of people, a position she has occupied since August 2022 when she joined Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

Ever since, Virtuoso, who also worked for Caesars Entertainment Corporation and MGM Resorts International in the past, has proven to be essential in the resort’s processes focused on acquiring talent and building culture.

Some of her most noteworthy accomplishments included recruiting thousands of employees before the venue’s grand opening.

Virtuoso, who has over 10 years of leadership and expertise under her belt, has also served as an instructor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Another in-house promotion was aimed at Lori Kobashigawa, the resort’s vice president of digital, e-commerce, and innovation who was now given a new role as senior vice president of marketing and innovation.

From her new position, Kobashigawa, who boasts over two decades of experience in digital marketing, will supervise the planning and execution of the establishment’s marketing and branding.

Thirdly, the US Casino resort appointed Sheila Tuzon, its previous executive director of relationship marketing, to the position of vice president of loyalty and database marketing.

The UNLV graduate initially joined the venue in December 2022 after a tenure in marketing operations at Amazon Web Services.

During her decade-and-a-half-long career on the Vegas Strip, Tuzon was engaged in numerous marketing roles. At Fontainebleau, she led the Rewards program and tackled loyalty and customer-relationship strategy and execution.

Mustafa Jamal, the New Sr. VP of Security and Investigations

Fontainebleau chose Mustafa Jamal as the new senior vice president of security and investigations.

Jamal carries over 15 years of worldwide experience which he will use in supervising security strategies at the resort.

The list of tasks includes investigations, surveillance, risk assessments, compliance, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, as well as the management of the security staff.

Previously, he was Baha Mar Resort and Casino’s vice president of security and investigations where he was responsible for overseeing a hotel-casino with 2,200 rooms -room and over 4,500 staff members.
